The Extreme uses a denser black rubber compound that resists puncture better than the Classic while keeping the same hollow shape for stuffing and freezing. The walls are thicker, which means it bounces harder and weighs more — dogs notice the difference when fetching. It accepts every stuffing recipe that works with the Classic, so your routine stays the same.

A straight answer: Tougher does not mean indestructible — inspect the rubber after each session and replace when you see deep gouges or missing chunks.
